  • Congrats to Chen-Wei “Felix” Yu for passing his guided literature review titled “Interdependence and Positive Emotion Expression: A Joint Analysis of Socioecological Conditions and Discrete Emotions” with a High Pass. His committee was chaired by Claudia Haase and included Mesmin Destin, Hannes Schwandt, and Yang Qu.
  • Congrats to Angela Zhong who was honored during a recent Fletcher Awards ceremony. The award, funded by the Fletcher Family Foundation, recognizes outstanding undergraduates for research conducted with support from a Summer Undergraduate Research Grant. Zhong received a special grant—the Lindsay Chase-Lansdale Undergraduate Summer Research Grant for Children and Families—for her project looking at physiological mechanisms underlying empathy in caregiver-youth interactions. Claudia Haase was awarded the Karl Rosengren Faculty Mentoring Award, which goes to the mentor of the best summer undergraduate research grant project.
